1.The cost of copying time is too much

Before backing up by “whole HDD copy”, which need to confirm first that total capacity of source is less than or equal to total capacity of target. Otherwise, the backup will not succeed.

2.The reasons why the copy fails by duplicator
Although hard disk duplicator can clone entire hard disk, there are some unavoidable situations. When cloning a hard drive, the capacity of source needs to be smaller or equal to the capacity of target, but why sometimes the hard drive with the same specifications also fail to copy?
In a case of practical applications, it often happens that two hard disks with the same specifications are used as the source and the target, but the copy fails after more than a few hours. After checking on the computer, even though the hard disk with same specifications, there may be a slight difference in the number of bytes of hard disk.
This factor leads to the problem of larger capacity of source copy to small capacity of target. HDD cloner is unable to recognize the difference of capacity of the hard disk before copying data. The warning indicator of failure appears at the end of the copy, which is wasted time for waiting.

3.The capacity of the source is larger than that of the target. Can it be worked?
UReach duplicator can analyze the data distribution before copying the hard disk, even if there is that capacity of the source is larger than that of the target, duplicator can give a reminder before copying (Target Too Small).
By analyzing data distribution first, duplicator recognize the location of data of the source. When capacity of source is larger than target, if location of data is within the area smaller than the capacity of the target, which data can be copied directly.
However, if the analysis finds that the distribution of hard disk data exceeds the capacity of the target, the duplicator will immediately notify that the copy cannot be made, which won’t spend unnecessary time for waiting.
